Pea gravel gets its name from its size, roughly 3/8 inch, close to the size of a garden pea. Its smooth, rounded shape comes from natural water tumbling over time, which removes sharp edges and gives it the consistent, clean appearance that makes it one of the most popular landscape stones in Jefferson Parish.
